I love receiving my copy of Aust Long Boarding in the mail.....problem is that I read it cover to cover in about one evening. The board guide is always a good bit of eye candy wish list but wouldn't you like to see an actual review of say six to eight boards per issue, ridden by amateurs and/or pros with their comments(pros and cons) and maybe a couple of pics of each session session. The board test sounds like a good idea tho as they do them in shortboard mags I've seen. Maybe it takes a lot of people to get it together?

I do agree, to many full page photos, I think the other magazine is the same I only buy ALB

Some ideas
* surf & travel stories, both oz & os. I am available if required, I do like Bali
* debate about using a large centre fin only compared to a smaller centre fin & using side fins
* fin shapes and designs
* wax comparison, in the good old days one block did everywhere now you have tropical, warm and cold
* wet suit test as mine has a large hole in the bum area and the middle has become a lot smaller (short arms & short legs) particularly with winter coming
* the amount of advertisments but I do understand the need to have them
* subscription renewal, something like a leg rope, fin or t-shirt as offered in the past rather than a chance to win something

... if clubs could cordinate with each other with regard to running open comps. Checked the ALB Website Calendar. November 7th. Three open comps. Admittedly in three seperate areas (Northern Beaches of Sydney, Lower North Coast of NSW, Alexandra Headland), but it still would've been good if they were on different days / weekends

Yeah, wouldn't it be nice if the TV Stations picked up on the fact that we (Australia) have competitors in the WORLD Longboarding Titles. The Shortboard comp gets it's 30-seconds of fame during the Sports section on the commercial channels, but not a word about the Longboarding Titles.

You know what's nice for me: The thought that the majority of Longboarding lifestyle is not being sold to the young fashionista masses. Anyone who is young and discovers Longboarding often IMO shows much more personality and camaraderie in the water.
